International facilities management company OCS has signed a facilities services JV with Saudi Arabia?s Zahid Group called OCS Arabia

Officials from OCS stated that the new venture would be headquartered in King Abdullah Economic City, in Saudi Arabia. The company would provide clients with the local understanding and global perspective of total facilities management.

Chris Cracknell, CEO of OCS Group, said, ?Zahid Group is a long-established, highly regarded and reputed business with a successful track record serving a diverse customer base in Saudi Arabia. By combining the local knowledge possessed by the two companies, regional and international expertise in delivery of top quality facilities services, the JV is well-positioned to offer clients a suite of world-class solutions to their property management needs.?

According to Cracknell, OCS is growing in the Middle East, mainly due to its best practices and understanding of the local sector in industries such as aviation, education and healthcare. The company has offices in Qatar and UAE.

Zayd M Zahid, director of investments at Zahid Group Holding, added, ?Our JV with OCS Group is in line with Zahid Group?s ongoing strategy to develop partnerships with leading global organisations in promising sectors with sustainable business models that add value to the economies we participate in. Given the complementary nature of the partners and OCS? established track record in the field of total facilities management, I?m confident that OCS Arabia will quickly become the Saudi benchmark for facilities management solutions across a broad range of sectors and asset types.?

The Kingdom has been termed an ?economic powerhouse? by Cracknell, with its GDP running at over five per cent a year with significant capacity for future infrastructure spending. The need for total facilities management would be high with the development of office spaces, retail centres, airports, shipping ports, schools and hospitals.
