Oman Air has launched a new performance management system as part of its upcoming expansion plans

According to Oman Air officials, the Performance Management System 2014 will involve all members of the staff in the company and manage their performance indices within a pre-determined framework of planned goals, standards and competency requirements.

Individual outcomes of employees will be linked to Oman Air?s reward programme, following end-of-year reviews, they added.

Rashid Mohamed Al Ghailani, chief officer of human resources, said, ?The new Performance Management System 2014 provides a vital mechanism for communicating responsibilities and evaluating achievements. This new system is critical to all key stakeholders in the company. It has been designed to ensure that all supervisors evaluate the performance of their employees in an objective manner and in line with the corporate framework.?

Ghailani added that he hopes the new system will help employees understand Oman Air?s key performance indicators and how they can contribute to achieving departmental and company objectives.
