Abu Dhabi approves infrastructure projects worth more than US$408mn

The Abu Dhabi Executive Council has approved infrastructure projects worth more than US$408mn in a meeting presided over by Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan

Members of the council stressed the need that all projects and programmes, whether underway or being planned, should be fully integrated.

The council announced in a statement that upon directives from UAE President Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the endorsement of numerous infrastructure development projects across Abu Dhabi will be done with a total cost of more than more than US$408mn.

?The projects include infrastructure development work at Khalifa City, Sheibat Al Watah Housing Project and the Zayed City-Ghayyath Highway,? the statement read.

Based on the President?s directives, housing projects intended for UAE nationals will be considered to be a top priority on the Abu Dhabi Executive Council?s agenda, stated the executive council.

It said, ?President Shaikh Khalifa has time and again, underlined the necessity to secure all means that guarantee the best living conditions for the citizens."

The council also underlined the necessity to provide customer services of high quality to support the increased levels of development being experienced by the emirate in various sectors.
