AECOM wins Saudi Arabian hospital bid

AECOM has been awarded a US$27.8 million contract to provide architecture, engineering design and production to one of the largest hospital developments in Saudi Arabia

The technical support services firm will provide assistance to the King Khalid Medical City in Dammam and will mobilise a team of healthcare and design professionals for the two-year project that will start with immediate effect.

Upon completion, King Khalid Medical City will house a 1,500-bed hospital, a research centre, conference centre and administrative office building.

The medical site is one of four hospital developments totalling $4.3 billion in costs that have planned for Saudi Arabia after being initiated by royal decree.
