Trucks and bus manufacturer Hino Motors has opened a new spare parts facility at Dubai World Central (DWC), which would serve as its hub in the GCC

According to Gulf News, the parts facility in the aero city?s logistics district is spread over an area of 5,400 sq m. It is Hino Motors? third such facility in the world. The company, which is a subsidiary of Toyota Motor, has one depot in Belgium and another in the US.

Until now, its depot in Belgium catered to clients in Europe, Middle East and Africa. ?This new hub in DWC would shorten delivery times and reduce logistics costs considerably for clients in the GCC, as spare parts will be directly shipped here from our manufacturing facility in Japan,? said Hino Motors.

DWC logistics district vice president Mohsen Ahmad said, ?The new warehouse offers strategic advantages of multimodal transport, fast-cycle logistics environment and quick connections to the Al Maktoum International Airport and the Jebel Ali Sea Port, among other benefits.?
