Etihad scoops trio at business traveller awards

Etihad Airways has won a hat trick of accolades at the Australian Business Traveller Awards

The national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) picked up the awards for Best First Class and Best Arrivals Lounge, along with the coveted title of Best Airline, at the ceremony, which seeks to recognise innovation and trend-setters in the business travel market.

The result was determined by a team of writers from leading Asia-Pacific business travel website Australian Business Traveller, who arrived at their decision having assessed feedback from frequent flyers and first-hand reviews by the publication?s editorial team.

Etihad CEO Peter Baumgartner said, ?To be named the best in the sky by Australian Business Traveller - a publication which is deeply attuned to the requirements of business travellers and frequent flyers - is a strong vote of confidence in our innovation strategy and guest experience.?

Australian Business Traveller editor David Flynn said the airline?s next generation Airbus A380 and 787-9 Dreamliner cabins gave Etihad the edge in the Best Airline category.
