GIBCA Crushing and Quarry Operations Limited signs supply chain deal with Etihad Rail

GIBCA Crushing and Quarry Operations Limited has signed an memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Etihad Rail for the supply of raw materials to its distribution and export terminals

Under the scope of the MoU, Etihad Rail trains will transport aggregates from its quarry in Ras Al Khaimah to distribution terminals in Jebel Ali, Ruwais, Saqr Port, and Fujairah Port.

Upon completion, Etihad Rail network will span approximately 1,200 km across the Emirates. It will connect urban and peripheral communities, facilitate trade and open up communication channels.

Faris Saif Al Mazrouei, acting CEO of Etihad Rail, said, ?This agreement will facilitate a more efficient delivery of aggregates from the Northern Emirates to construction markets.?

In addition to supply of aggregates, the Etihad Rail network will also transport bulk and non-bulk materials, offering tailor-made solutions for different customer needs.

Sheikh Saqer Bin Khalid Al Qassimi, corporate development director of GIBCA Crushing and Quarry Operations Limited, said, ?The MoU with Etihad Rail will allow our company to enhance our existing supply chain to meet evolving business needs, ultimately helping us to cater more efficiently to our key markets in the UAE and beyond.?

Established in 1976, GIBCA Crushing and Quarry Operations Limited supplies its products to construction projects in the UAE and neighbouring countries, including airports, harbours, roads, bridges and islands.
