Power Management Company Eaton has been awarded a contract to provide lighting solutions for the administration facility at Kuwait University?s Sabah Al-Salem University City

The administration facilities at Kuwait University will serve as the main gateway to the new campus. The seven buildings, including cultural and convocation hall, conference centre, the university library, visitor centre and a grand mosque will house the chief administrative and ceremonial functions of the campus, serving the needs of a student population of 40,000, faculty, administrators and visitors.

Working alongside major partner Khabari International, Eaton?s was awarded the contract to install a range of luminaries including bespoke ?Koble,? designed and manufactured by Eaton?s UK Doncaster plant.

Ashraf Yehia, managing director, Eaton Middle East, said, ?The project leverages efficient solutions for this campus which will be used by thousands of students daily, with lighting features that deliver exceptional light quality and uniformity to help enhance the buildings aesthetics.?

The initiative is in line with Eaton?s commitment of in-house testing using calibrated photometric equipment in real-life conditions, a comprehensive warranty and technical support providing additional reassurance to source with confidence.

The administration building is the tallest building on campus, incorporating state-of-the-art offices for the top administrators, president and secretaries at the university. The Sabah Al Salem University City is being planned as one of the largest campuses in the world with educational facilities equipped with most advanced teaching and learning resources.

In 2018, Eaton was also awarded a multi-million-dollar contract to provide complete xEnergy LV Systems, Power Distribution Components and Industrial Control solutions for the prestigious administration facility.
