CSR Label CeremonyEmrill has received the Dubai Chamber CSR Label for the eighth time

The FM provider accepted the award at the headquarters of Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry at a ceremony held to recognise the outstanding corporate social responsibility performance of 35 companies and organisations.

In 2019, Emrill collaborated with Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry to reduce waste in Dubai, taking part in its ‘Let’s Reduce and Recycle’ campaign. Emrill promoted a zero-waste lifestyle, as well as encouraged employees to participate by collecting clothes, paper, plastic bottles and e-waste from 7-26 November 2019.

Emrill collected a total of 280 bottles, 51kg of paper, 115kg of clothes and 689kg of e-waste, including 28 printers and two desktops during the collection campaign.

Stuart Harrison, Emrill’s CEO, said, “It’s a great honour to be awarded the Dubai Chamber CSR Label again. All CSR programmes Emrill creates and manages are designed to provide a better quality of life to Emrill’s employees, their families and the residents and visitors to the communities we operate in. To be recognised for our efforts by such a prestigious organisation is a tremendous achievement, and I am very proud of the team.”

As part of the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, Emrill has launched several sustainability initiatives, including organic vegetable gardens, sustainability parks and water conservation programmes within its communities, using condensation water to clean car parks. This initiative alone has saved more than 35,000 litres of water.

The FM giant has concrete continuous improvement goals, investing in new technology, innovations and improved methodologies with the goal of becoming more efficient, benefiting the communities and facilities it serves as well as the environment.

Since launching the CSR label in 2010, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry has honoured 413 organisations. Emrill was the first FM company to be awarded the Dubai Chamber CSR Label for its sustainable and responsible practices and the company has now held this title for eight consecutive years.
