Saudi Arabia awarded contracts worth US$587mn for road-building and is looking to sign more deals next month, reported the state news agency SPA.

Kuehne + Nagel, one of the worlds leading logistics providers, has relocated its Middle East regional headquarters from Istanbul to Dubai.

Expansion work will begin next year to increase the capacity of the King Fahd Causeway, which links Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, to handle up to 100mn passengers a year. The plan will include the construction of two 400,000 sqm artificial islands, one on the Bahrain side and one on the Saudi side of the causeway.

Elaf Group of companies, a business organisation serving the Saudi Arabian travel, tourism and hotel industries, has pointed out that improving packages, services and products from key industry players are complementing the boom in domestic tourism in the country.
