Bids open for UAE data centres

Mubadala Development Company has set a 24 January deadline for the Khazna project.

Mubadala Development Company has set January 24th as the deadline for the Khazna project which involves building two data centres in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

To cost US$218mn

The contract is estimated to cost US$218mn and involves building data centres together with other technical buildings in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The built up area of the Dubai buildings is 25,500 sqm and that of the Abu Dhabi is 15,500 sqm.

Prequalifiers

The prequalifiers include the local Alec; the local/UK Al-Futtaim Carillion; the local/Australian Al-Habtoor Leighton Group; France's Bouygues; the local/UK Dutco Balfour Beatty; the UK's Laing O'Rourke; and Germany's M+W Group.
