Ras Al Khaimah and Singapore discuss bilateral cooperation

Mohamed Ali Musabbeh Al Nuaimi, chairman, Ras al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Low Pit Chen, consul-general of Singapore in Dubai discussed strengthening the bilateral business cooperation and the economic issues to reinforce the investment cooperation between Ras Al Khaimah and Singapore

Al Nuaimi noted that the emirate seeks to reinforce the cooperation with Singapore and establish a strong partnership that better contribute to economic development. There are several sectors in both countries that offer great investment opportunities including tourism, health care, construction and manufacturing.

He further highlighted that Ras Al Khaimah results demonstrated significant growth during the last ten years, which came as a result of the continuous efforts made by the government to enhance the economy and establish Ras Al Khaimah position as an attractive investment destination, supported by HH Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, member of Supreme Council, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.

?The UAE government has issued many decisions to stimulate, activate and facilitate the businesses; specifying 122 economic activities to be eligible for 100 per cent foreign ownership, which shall positively affect the economy on short and long term, and offer the opportunity to the international companies to expand their business in UAE,? Al Nuaimi added.

Pit Chen noted that there are many companies from Singapore which seek to have meetings with Emirati investors, find new markets for their products and to discuss the available investment opportunities in both countries in different sectors such as industrial, tourism, education, health, food and SMEs.
