Polish company Svantek has produced a vibration and sound monitoring station SV 212 to monitor and regulate noise at construction sites for periodical measurements

The device is a weather protected, portable environmental vibration and sound monitoring station, and is widely used to monitor sounds at construction sites. It periodically monitors vibrations and verifies noise barrier efficiencies too.

Company officials stated that the SV 212 can be used with an SVAN 958 instrument. This four-channel sound and vibration analyser is offered with the special KB filter for building vibration measurements meeting DIN 4150 standard requirements.

Advanced trigger and alarm functions detect noises that exceed permissible limit. In addition, the data can be accessed and downloaded for future reference.

The instrument is installed inside a waterproof case, which is also equipped with a rechargeable battery and controller. Vibrations are measured with the help of a SV 207A building vibration measurements set. This new system includes a high-sensitivity accelerometer as well. The vibration measurement set is also equipped with a special levelling system which allows compensation of the ground level slope.

The SV 212 can be powered either from an internal rechargeable battery or an external DC power source, including a solar panel too.
