Empower connects district cooling services to Dubai’s Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences

Untitled 1 1Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), a district cooling services provider, has connected 10,650 refrigeration tonnes (RT) capacity of cooling service to the Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences on Palm Jumeirah

This is in line with the hotel’s new expansion phase as part of its preparation for Expo 2020. According to Empower, 85 per cent of the renovation and expansion project is completed.

Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower, said, “We are honoured to be working again on the Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences project by providing 10,650 RT for their new expansion phase. This reflects the growing confidence of investors and developers in Empower.”

Bin Shafar pointed out that district cooling services have become an essential element for major real estate projects, both locally and internationally, due to their unique features and benefits. Furthermore, district cooling systems are environmentally friendly and contribute to enhancing energy efficiency and saving energy, as it uses 50 per cent less energy compared to conventional cooling systems.
