Capacity boost at Omani switchgear plant

Production capacity at the switchgear plant of Voltamp Energy has been significantly enhanced with the addition of a new manufacturing bay and offices adjacent to its already existing building at Rusayl at a cost of US$1.2mn

As a result of the expansion, the production capacity of the state-of-the-art switchgear plant is expected to go up by some 50 per cent. With this increased production capability, Voltamp? will now be well placed to service? the increasing demands of a larger number of customers? in the oil and gas, infrastructure, industry and utility sectors.

The impressive new facility was inaugurated by the chairman of Voltamp Enery, Qais Al Yousef.

For he past two decades, Voltamp , as an Omani organisation, has demonstrated its inherent strengths in both engineering and manufacturing of world class switchgear, driven by a team of trained and dedicated professionals? with a constant stress on training and employing? the local Omani talent.

For the past several years, Voltamp has been registering steady growth of between 20 and 25 percent annually, and therefore increasing its customer base at a steady rate which has greatly helped those on the board dedicated to maintaining the enviable record for expansion.

According to Pronab Chakraborty, AGM and head of the Switchgear SBU, the healthy growth in top and bottom lines of the Omani group are a clear indicator of the customers? continued faith in the quality and reliability of Voltamps?s products and services.

The growth also endorses Voltamp?s unrelenting focus on its Quality Management Systems in an environment of Health and Safety as embedded in the company?s Quality and Health Safety and Environment (HSE) policies.
