Siemens enters into an MoU with UAE?s Federal Electricity and Water Authority (FEWA) for the development of power plant in northern emirate
According to the agreement, a 2,200MW turnkey for a power plant will be submitted by Siemens. The project aims to enhance the infrastructure of the area.
The MoU was signed by FEWA director general Mohammed Mohammed Saleh and Siemens Middle East and UAE CEO Dietmar Siersdorfer in the presence of the UAE minister of energySuhail Mohamed Faraj Al Mazrouei.
?This landmark agreement underscores our long-term relationship with the UAE and our commitment to playing an even more active role in developing the country?s power infrastructure,? said Siersdorfer.
Siemens technology currently generates approximately 40 per cent of the UAE?s electricity.
