ASJC building 200,000 sqm facility in KAEC Industrial Valley

HVAC solutions provider Al Salem Johnson Controls (ASJC) has announced plans to build a new factory and training centre in King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC)?s Industrial Valley, near Jeddah, Saudi Arabia

The company has reserved a plot of more than 200,000 sqm to build the facility, which will begin its first developmental phase immediately and become fully operational by 2017.

Once complete, the factory will facilitate 1,000 new jobs, according to ASJC CEO Mohanad Alshaikh.

Alshaikh said, ?As we continue to evolve as a global multi-industrial company, Al Salem Johnson Controls identifies with the initiatives to diversify the Kingdom?s economy and the establishment of this manufacturing and training facility is an important step in this direction.?

The 63 sq km Industrial Valley in KAEC has already attracted the agreement of 93 companies from six key sectors ? FMCG/foods, pharmaceuticals, logistics, plastics, building materials and the automotive sector ? to take up residence there.
