2018 has been a year of partnerships for Bentley Systems

After acquiring Plaxis in April and 4D construction modelling Synchro in June, at the Bentley Year in Infrastructure 2018 on 15 October in London, the global provider launched iTwin Services for infrastructure engineering and PlantSight for synchronised plant and engineering representations. It has also acquired Legion, a pedestrian simulation software.

iTwin Services for infrastructure and assets can advance the design, construction and operation of infrastructure and can be transparently provisioned within Bentley?s Connected Data Environment (CDE).

PlantSight is a digital solution to benefit customers through efficient plant operations that can synchronise engineering and physical reality. Plant operators benefit from trustworthiness and quality of information.

Bentley?s iModel.js was also released during the event. It is an open source library for developers and IT professionals to easily create immersive applications that can connect infrastructure digital twins to the rest of the digital world.

Besides, Bentley also announced strategic partnerships with Siemens, Topcon and Atos on multidiscipline collaborations.

Industry briefings by Bentley experts were also held on Roads, Railways, Utilities, Construction and Oil and Gas to discuss industry specific technologies supporting Advancement Insights.

This year?s theme is Going Digital and the focus of the seminars is Digital Twins. According to CEO Greg Bentley, immersive visualisation and analytic visibility is the future of infrastructure.
