Three planned industrial parks in Abu Dhabi are expected to provide about 93,000 job opportunities when completed, according to Abu Dhabis Higher Corp. for Specialized Economic Zones (ZonesCorp).
Studies carried out
ZonesCorp is currently carrying out studies about these industrial cities whose infrastructure is expected to be completed in 2015.
Two of the industrial parks will be located in the western part of the Abu Dhabi, one in Ruwais and the other in Zayed City, Al Ittihad daily quoted Mohamed Al Qamzi, ZonesCorp's chief executive, as saying.
Ruwais
The industrial city in Ruwais will cover an area of 14 sq-km and will target the manufacture of plastics, petrochemicals, construction materials, and chemicals in addition to providing logistics services, Qamzi told Al Ittihad.
Zayed City
The Zayed City's industrial park will cover an area of 2.4 km and will be set to attract projects in the of oil and gas sector, Qamzi added.
Mussafah?
The final and third industrial park will be located in the Mussafah area and will house auto repair shops, maintenance centres for heavy machinery and other related facilities
