Engineering services firm Parsons has been awarded the site-wide infrastructure design and construction supervision services contract for Dubai?s Expo 2020 planned site
According to the company, the 438 hectare site located in Dubai Trade Centre will have pavilions, souks and entertainment venues, which will be designed, monitored and managed by Parsons.

Expo 2020 is expected to attract 25mn visitors, 70 per cent of which will be from overseas. The construction of the venue, which lies right in the middle of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, is likely to be completed by 2019. Given the magnitude of the event, the contract is a significant victory for Parsons, said its officials.
Parsons, which has been working in the Middle East and Africa for more than 60 years, has offices in the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Bahrain. The company?s portfolio of ongoing projects in the region includes major highways, bridges, rail and transit, airports, ports, water infrastructure, hospitals, public schools, universities, mosques, and other public buildings.
