Abu Dhabi?s Musanada has awarded Al Jaber Transport & General Contracting two road projects worth US$544mn to improve highways from Abu Dhabi to the borders of Saudi Arabia and Qatar

According to the deal, the Mafraq to Al Ghwaifat border post highway Section No. 3A and Mafraq to Al Ghwaifat border post highway Section No. 3B will be improved. The scope of work includes the construction of highways and interchanges from Baynounah Forest to Al Mirfa, and from Al Mirfa to Abu Al Abyad, stated officials from Al Jaber.

The highway will be upgraded to dual four lanes and will include dumbbell interchanges along the route. Relocation and protection of existing services, extension of existing contingency ducts and construction of new contingency ducts, lighting systems, stormwater drainage systems and road furniture will be carried out.
