Muscat launches Al Amerat road project

Muscat Municipality has embarked on the construction of Al Mahaj intersection and flyovers project in Al Amerat province

A contracting and construction firm will oversee the project, which will involve replacing the existing Al Mahaj roundabout by a multi-level flyover, each with three lanes on both directions.

An international advisor has already prepared the engineering designs of the project, which will aim to ease the traffic flow and thus stir trade and tourism activity in the area.

The project will also involve establishing a water drainage system in Al Amerat road and bridges. It will link the Bushar-Al Amerat road to Al Joud road to ease the traffic flow to and from Al Amerat.
