The 12th edition of Big 5 Construct Saudi, the largest construction event in the kingdom, is running till 29 February 2024 at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Centre
With more than 55,000 attendees, the event highlighted technologies, products, and services in the construction industry, while providing networking opportunities.
International Contracting Conference (ICC)
The 4th edition of the two-day International Contracting Conference (ICC), organised by the Saudi Contractors Authority (SCA) and dmg events, hosted insightful dialogues and discussions on urban construction, smart cities, sustainability and advanced building techniques. His Excellency Mr. Majid bin Abdullah Al-Hogail, the Minister of Municipal, Rural Affairs and Housing delivered the opening address at the ICC.
Apart from the main conference, the event site hosted co-located events. Construction professionals visiting the event explored the full construction value chain from inception to completion with specialty events such as HVAC R Expo Saudi, FM Expo Saudi, Stone & Surface Saudi Arabia and Windows, Doors & Facades Event Saudi.
Product sectorisation
This year, Big 5 Construct Saudi further addressed the evolving needs of the Saudi construction market through product sectorisation, introducing five new sectors: concrete, construction technologies, paints, steel and urban design & landscape.
Product launches and live demos
Euro Systems launched Europhon Acoustics, a new product aimed at creating acoustically comfortable spaces. Stanley Black & Decker also showcased their power and hand tools, accessories, anchors, and technology, supporting construction professionals with end-to-end solutions from their brand Dewalt.
ImageGrafix International for Information Technology delivered technical presentations on its softwares, including Oracle Primevera, Fusion PPM and Aconex.
Heavy machinery & equipment exhibits
This year, the Big 5 Construct Saudi featured 41 exhibitors such as Baltur, Colle, Elematic, Galadari Saudi Industrial Company, Al Marwan Heavy Machinery, Al Motwakil Motors Company and Guangdong Hao Lixin Construction Machinery.
CPD-certified talks
Attendees also gained CPD points by participating in 60 certified educational panels and discussions covering nine key streams: concrete, sustainability, decarbonisation, HVAC R, architecture & design, facilities management, project management, digital construction, and codes & standards.
