The event, claimed to be the largest exhibition dedicated to the construction industry, will be held under the patronage of the Qatari government and the support of H.E. Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al-Thani, the Prime Minister of Qatar.

Project Qatar aims to establish a platform for local, regional and international suppliers to meet with buyers who have a demand for various construction products and services. It seeks to bring together the latest equipment, technology and product breakthroughs in construction under one roof.

The event will see exhibitors from the sectors of construction, power, lighting, HVAC, waste management and recycling, industrial and commercial cleaning, heavy machinery, stone technology, water technology, landscape design, green construction, metal manufacturing, concrete and masonry products, glass and glazing products and wood works, among others.

Project Qatar will also organise specialised construction workshops and offer attendees comprehensive education programmes on industry issues and trends, management, applied technology and other topics. The event will also present the Project Qatar Business Intelligence series of conferences. In partnership with IFP Qatar and ACM, Project Qatar will host six specialised conferences throughout the year, including two at the show.

Project Qatar 2015 had attracted more than 32,000 visitors and 1130 exhibitors from 40 countries; the 2016 exhibition is expected to exceed this count. The event, which is UFI approved, will be held at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre.
