Dubai to host 5th Annual Construction Summit this year

The 5th Annual Construction Summit themed around ?Embracing Constructability ? Going Beyond Building Information Modeling (BIM)? is set to take place on 23 October 2019 at The Westin Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina, Dubai

This year, the industry experts from different professions of construction and technology sector will be involved in the discussions about construction work process and technology that go beyond BIM. They will discuss region?s latest developments, market insights after the announcement of mega-projects like the Expo 2020 and Saudi Arabia?s 2030 Vision, and much more.

Hussain Almahmoudi, CEO of Sharjah Research Technology & Innovation Park, will deliver a keynote speech at the summit.

Paul Wallett, regional director, Trimble Solutions Middle East and India, will moderate a session on ?3C?s of The Constructible Process? at the summit organised by Trimble Solutions Middle East.

Hussain Almahmoudi will be talking about the potential role of emerging technologies as a catalyst for radical change in the construction ecosystem followed by a presentation on ?Saudi Vision 2030 - the US$425bn infrastructure plan? by David Glennon, digital delivery director at The Red Sea Development Company, who will throw some light on the smart city master plan.

Fadi Shanaah, senior director, head of Enterprise Sales at Etisalat, will do a presentation on ?How 5G make smart cities and connected sites a reality?.

Paul Wallett will be giving a keynote speech on the potential role of emerging technologies as a catalyst for radical change in the construction ecosystem. Commenting on the topic, he said, ?With the changing industry landscape, region is dominated globally with the headlines about the importance of technology and its contribution towards the growth of the sector. The use of latest cutting-edge technologies in the region?s construction sector has helped the stakeholders in smooth communication on site and manage the most complex structures such as the Museum of the Future in the UAE transforming it to reality.?

The regional directors, CEOs, BIM managers, digital and technical specialists from organisations such as RTA, The Red Sea Development Company, Mott MacDonald, BAM International and Construction Lifecycle will be speaking at the summit on various topics.
