ENEC CEO highlights role of nuclear energy at the Global Energy Forum

The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation (ENEC) has participated in the second Atlantic Council Global Energy Forum in Abu Dhabi, held from 12-13 January 2018

The event was organised by The Atlantic Council and in partnership with the UAE Ministry of Energy, ADNOC, Mubadala, and Masdar.

Mohamed Al Hammadi, CEO of ENEC, addressed participants during the opening of ?A New Age for Nuclear Energy? plenary session in the second day of the forum, highlighting the role of nuclear energy leaders as being important to the growth and consolidation of nuclear energy globally.

He also said that Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant, the first nuclear energy plant in the Arab world, has set a new standard for all countries developing peaceful nuclear energy programmes.

Al Hammadi further encouraged nuclear leaders to establish a positive dialogue with their local communities, aiming to demonstrate how nuclear energy plants actively contribute to the community through the creation of clean electricity, development of high-value careers, economic diversification and enhanced energy security.
