In the run-up to Project Qatar 2016, the 13th International Construction Technology and Building Materials Exhibition was launched at the Intercontinental Doha ? The City on 18 April
Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Project Qatar 2016 is scheduled to be held from 9-12 May at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) between 2-9 pm.
This year, Project Qatar will feature participation from 37 countries, representing Hundreds of companies, including 15 national pavilions spread over five halls and an outside area, covering 32,000 sq m of exhibition space. The show is also expected to attract over 35,000 professional visitors.
Countries participating at the event include, but not limited to, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Egypt, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Kuwait, Korea, Lebanon, Malaysia, Netherlands, Oman, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Turkey, the UAE, UK, USA. The full list of represented countries and pavilions will be listed in the official show catalogue of Project Qatar 2016.
According to reports, Qatar is making more than US$200bn in investments in the run up to FIFA World Cup 2022. Project Qatar, in its 13th edition this year, will provide a valuable platform to the Indian companies to make use of immense business opportunities in the construction sector and its associated industries.
Reflecting its commitment to innovation, event organiser IFP Qatar ? in collaboration with the Qatar Chamber of Commerce ? will be continuing its Project Qatar Workshop Series for the second year that includes 11 workshops meant to promote the education and commercial aspects of the construction industry. Areas of focus include, among others, GSAS and HSE awareness, product testing, construction wastes, sustainable smart cities, energy efficiency and its dynamics. These areas of focus, which are aligned with conversations among Excelledia, Educare/Gherass, and the British Standards Institution (BSI) will inform workshop participants about the latest technology, industry advances and rising themes.
Following the success of the Project Qatar Business Intelligence Series in 2014 and 2015, the series comes back again in force this year with six unique B2B conferences including two conferences same time as the show namely The 3rd Annual LightingTech Qatar (9-10 May 2016), The 2nd Annual Future BIM Implementation Qatar (11-12 May 2016), The 1st Annual Smart Parking Qatar (18-19 April 2016), The 3rd Annual Future Interiors Qatar (5-6 September 2016), The 3rd Annual Future Landscape & Public Realm Qatar (24-25 October 2016), The 3rd Annual Future Drainage Networks Qatar (December 5-6 2016).
