Sohar Aluminum to host 21st edition of ARABAL in Oman

Sohar Aluminum will host the 21st edition of Arab International Aluminum Conference (ARABAL) and Exhibition from 6-9 November 2017 at Bar Al Jissah Resort in Muscat, Oman

About 60 global experts from the aluminum industry are participating in the conference.

The four-day event will be an important platform for exploring the prospects of aluminum sector development and its ability to drive the economic diversification strategies pursued by the countries of the region.

The experts will join more than 500 participants to exchange views on a number of topics related to the theme of the conference, titled ?Driving Strategic Growth of the global Aluminum Industry?.

Discussions and meetings of the conference will focus on exploring the contemporary prospects and challenges in the aluminum industry. The conference also includes an international exhibition, in addition to a workshop, meetings and various activities.

The main session of the conference will include the participation of high-level representatives from a number of local, GCC and Middle East companies such as Sohar Aluminum, Gulf and Arab Mineral and Aluminum Company, which in 2016 produced a total of 23.5mn tonnes of aluminum, equivalent to 10 per cent of total world production (excluding China).

Said bin Mohammed Al Masoudi, CEO of Sohar Aluminum, said that the conference is an opportunity to showcase experiences in a fertile environment that promotes the exchange of relevant knowledge and perspectives, driving growth at all levels of this vital sector.
