Volvo Group wins INTERMAT innovation awards 2018

INTERMAT, the international trade show for construction and infrastructure, has announced the winners of the INTERMAT Innovation Awards on 18 January 2018, in Paris

The competition designated 13 prize winners from the 90 competing entries.

Widely acknowledged as a showcase for the construction sector, the 2018 INTERMAT Innovation Awards is set to provide a stage for the display of innovation in the field of equipment, machinery and processes used in construction and materials production.

For 2018, the international competition highlighted several powerful market trends such as digitalisation of tools (development of applications, BIM and robotics), the proliferation of environmental solutions and the growing consideration for safety and risk prevention in processes.

Eight prize winners were rewarded for their innovation in the following four categories, reflecting the new organisation of the exhibition into four hubs of expertise:

Earthmoving and Demolition:

Volvo CE - EX2 receives the equipment and machinery award and Dmic ? Ubiwan Smart receives components and accessories award.

Roads, Minerals and Foundation:

Fayat - TRX receives equipment and machinery award and RB3D - EXO PUSH receives components and accessories award.

Lifting, Handling and Transportation:

Hinowa SpA receives equipment and machinery award and Manitou Group receives components and accessories award.

Building and Construction Sector:

ALPHI - MaxUpDown receives the equipment and machinery award and 360smartconnect receives components and accessories award.

Five special awards reflecting the most up-to-date issues at stake in the construction sector were also presented in the areas of digital transition, energy transition, start-up by Eurovia, world of concrete Europe and Safety.
