In collaboration with its long-term partner Masdar, Siemens has established its new Middle East headquarters in Abu Dhabis Masdar City

The building, which can accommodate approximately 800 Siemens employees, has been designed to the highest standards of sustainability, using eco-friendly materials and energy-efficient technologies that will help reduce energy consumption by up to 50 per cent compared to a conventional building of the same size.

Dietmar Siersdorfer, CEO of Siemens Middle East and UAE, said, "The opening of the new Siemens regional headquarters at Masdar City is testament to our unwavering commitment to the UAE and the Middle East.

"After more than 150 years in the region, we are proud to achieve another important milestone in the company?s history.

"With our new headquarters, we strive to serve our customers even better and enrich our contribution to the development of the region's youth and societies to meet the needs of the future."

Built in adherence to LEED Platinum certification standards, the building has been said to be among the 'greenest' buildings in the UAE and the Middle East.

Siemen's subsidiary RuggedCom, which designs and manufactures rugged communications equipment for harsh environments, will be exhibiting at MEE this year.
