Under the ‘Future Mode of Operation’ (FMO) contract, Huawei will provide managed IT and network operations, network performance management and service quality improvement for Ooredoo Kuwait. The Chinese telecommunications giant will provide an ICT converged operation solution to manage IT and telecom equipment through converged operation processes, resources and tools. This is meant to help Ooredoo Kuwait achieve digital transformation, operational excellence and to improve customer experience.

“The FMO project is significant for Ooredoo,” said Prabjit Singh Panesar, deputy CTO at Ooredoo Kuwait. “It will accelerate the speed of our response to the market, improve network performance and quality of service and enhance the end-user experience. We are pleased to be working with Huawei as their products and service capabilities in the IT and telecommunications fields will help us achieve ICT transformation.”

The cooperation between Huawei and Ooredoo is an important milestone for Huawei as a Managed Services provider rapidly investing in the IT field.

“For us, Huawei’s ICT infrastructure transformation service has been one of the company’s key strategic investments, which will strengthen our position as a strategic partner for operators,” said Dr. Howard Liang, president of global technical services at Huawei. “The cooperation between Ooredoo and Huawei now extends from purely CT to encompass IT, and we are committed to delivering the ICT converged operation Ooredoo Kuwait needs to achieve operational excellence and digital transformation,” he added.
