Mobinil and Ericsson partner to boost network in Egypt

Egypt?s mobile operator Mobinil has partnered with Ericsson to provide enhanced data services in the country

According to the agreement, Ericsson would aid Mobinil with provision of Packet Core Technology, data migration services, design and integrate various nodes, and improve the speed of the data network across Egypt.

Yasser Shaker, vice president of technology at Mobinil, said, ?We are committed to providing our customers with the highest quality and experience. This is especially crucial at a time when smartphone and tablet adoption is growing so rapidly, as it will ensure a superior level of service across Egypt.?

Ericsson?s initiative titled Networked Society, which empowers several countries and industries through enhanced ICT services, aims to include Egypt in its fray. Rafiah Ibrahim, head of Ericsson Middle East said that providing Mobinil with its Packet Core Technology would assist Egypt in entering the Networked Society, and benefit the economy.
