Gulfstream G650 to debut at Abu Dhabi Air Expo 2013

Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) has announced that Gulfstream has selected the Abu Dhabi Air Expo to display its G650 aircraft for the first time in the Middle East and Africa

Gulfstream?s decision to debut its flagship model at the Abu Dhabi Air Expo was tied to the high demand in the Middle East for aircraft offering large cabins with long range and high speeds.

With the capacity to carry eight passengers and a crew of four, the G650 is expected to depart Abu Dhabi and arrive in New York City on a non-stop leg of 12,964 km. Gulfstream will also be displaying its G450 and G550 at the Abu Dhabi Air Expo.

Yousif Hassan Al Hammadi, chairman of the organising committee for Abu Dhabi Air Expo, said, ? The growth of this year?s Air Expo compared to last year?s clearly demonstrates a trust in the increasing importance of Abu Dhabi?s aviation market.?

The second annual Abu Dhabi Air Expo, will take place from 5-7 March 2013 at Al Bateen Executive Airport.

With its focus on developments and innovation related to non-commercial aircraft, jets, helicopters, pilot training schools, avionics, insurance and financing, and other aspects of the general aviation industry, the three-day event is expected to draw over 10,000 visitors, and major aviation players from across the GCC, Levant, North Africam, Asia and South Africa.

Abu Dhabi Air Expo, which will comprise of close to 70,000 square metres of exhibition space, will showcase more than 90 aircraft and bring together more than 150 companies, including Gulfstream.
