T&T wins contract for Abu Dhabi terminal building

Consultancy services provider Turner & Townsend (T&T) said that it has won a contract to provide cost estimation, scheduling and risk management services for the upcoming Midfield Terminal Building (MTB) of Abu Dhabi International Airport

The upcoming MTB is touted to be the largest in Abu Dhabi covering 700,000 square metres of area that includes 20,000 square metres for retail and food and beverage outlets. The terminal is scheduled to open in 2017.

T&T has worked on similar infrastructure projects in Oman and Dubai, along with creating international aviation briefs on London Heathrow and Brisbane Airports, the company said in a statement.

T&T Middle East managing director Mike Collings said, ?T&T has built a reputation working on some of the world?s largest infrastructure projects and has seen its business in this sector grow by two thirds since 2010-2011.?
