Dubai?s low cost airline, flydubai, has announced it will begin flights to Erbil in the Kurdish region of Northern Iraq. Flights to Iraq?s third largest will start on Friday, July 16 with a one-way fare priced at US$333 (AED1,225).



Dubai Airports has announced the phased withdrawal of older generation aircraft that do not conform to international noise and emission standards set by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), has commenced non-stop flights from its home base in Abu Dhabi to Tokyo, becoming the first Middle Eastern airline to operate to the Japanese capital.
