Rosenbauer has won a contract from a Saudi ministry worth US$320mn for supply of fire engineering equipment.

1,125 vehicles

The Austrian company will supply the Saudi Ministry of Interior fire engineering equipment and a total of 1,125 vehicles for various operational purposes such as boats and other civil defence equipment, said company in a statement.

The supply contract also comprises pumpers and rescue vehicles manufactured to US Standards. In addition, heavy recovery vehicles, aerial ladder, boats and hydraulic rescue equipment have also been ordered.

Most of the vehicles are to be produced at the Rosenbauer plants in Leonding, Lyons, Karlsruhe and Spain.
