Weatherford M.E. has ordered 14 Atlas Copco XAS 186 portable energy compressors from Atlas Copco Middle East for onshore/offshore applications, of which it has already taken delivery of eight compressors.
The XAS 186 DD Atlas Copco compressors featuring special skid frames and additional 'add ons', specified exclusively by Weatherford M.E. to be mounted in the oilfield specialist product and services company's Tripod 2100 ft? capacity cement bulkers.
The new Atlas Copco XAS186 modified air compressors have been ordered to pressurise bulk plant delivery cement from bulk tanks, discharging into the transporter/mixing system; for operations throughout cementing applications.
The compressors, with a free air delivery of 185 l/s at 8 bar, ensure 100 per cent dry transportation of the cement. Featuring a purpose-specified skid frame ensures ease of mobility of the compressor for both onshore and offshore applications.
The compressor has been designed for heavy duty environments and its modular design allows ease of installing special systems to suit its application.
Additional 'add on' features ordered by Weatherfords M.E. include after cooler, water separator, pd filter, preheater and outlet air pressure reducer plus special paint and markings.
