Indigo500 series: reliable performance for harsh conditions

The Vaisala Indigo500 series transmitters serve as host devices for Vaisala Indigo-compatible, stand-alone smart probes. This series comprises the Indigo520 and Indigo510 transmitters, which feature touchscreen displays crafted from chemically strengthened (IK08) glass, suitable for on-site data visualisation.

Additionally, non-display transmitters are offered by the company, which expand the possibilities for probe connectivity, supply voltage, and wiring. Robust metal enclosures with IP66 and NEMA4 ratings ensure consistent performance, even in challenging environmental conditions.

Moreover, the touchscreen display offers a user-friendly interface, enabling seamless configuration, and straightforward access to diagnostic information. It empowers technicians to conduct maintenance tasks in the field while monitoring ongoing process conditions. It also facilitates the analysis of historical data through the trend view and provides insights into process failures using the event log. The transmitter's local data storage becomes invaluable when automation systems do not store or archive critical data.vaisala 2

Indigo transmitters serve as the central hub for Vaisala Indigo-compatible, independent smart probes. These versatile transmitters offer a range of output channels, including both analog and digital options, and come equipped with configurable relay settings. Additionally, they support an Ethernet connection, providing connectivity flexibility. Power choices encompass protected extra-low voltage (PELV), main power sources, and power over Ethernet (PoE), catering to various installation needs.

Interestingly, the seamless interchangeability of all Indigo probes with any of the Indigo transmitters ensures a streamlined and interruption-free process. This not only enhances operational efficiency but also reduces downtime significantly. Furthermore, transmitters featuring internal wiring headers within their enclosures are built to withstand extreme conditions, eliminating the requirement for additional field boxes for interconnection.

In essence, Indigo transmitters are designed to provide a robust and adaptable solution for diverse monitoring and data collection needs, making them an indispensable asset in demanding environments.
