aggreko-cooling-towersAggreko has been selected by C.A.T. International to supply temporary cooling solutions at the New Doha International Airport in Qatar.

The construction of the new airport followed a strict schedule throughout the hot summer months. Temperature control services were essential to cool the main cargo hangar, enabling contractors to complete work on the permanent district cooling plant within deadline and in safe and comfortable working conditions.

Aggreko provided 8.8 MW of cooling, including 5 MW of supplementary power,? throughout the 13-month project, working closely with C.A.T. International throughout project approval, installation and commissioning. Aggreko?s expertise in temperature control allowed C.A.T. International to complete the project and supported the contractor in the move from temporary cooling package to?? permanent district cooling plant, thereby minimising downtime.

Khaled Wehbe, Civil Engineer, C.A.T. International, said: ?The Aggreko personnel working on this project were once again able to meet the high standards that Aggreko represents. There?s absolutely nothing I can name that was not up to our expectations. The service was excellent, the technicians were well skilled and Aggreko did a terrific job in installing the temporary plant despite the short notice and weather conditions.?

Phil Burns, Managing Director, Aggreko Middle East, said: ?It is extremely beneficial for our team to be involved in a project from the design stage in order to ensure that our temperature control package can be incorporated in the most effective way. This was the second successful project we have undertaken with C.A.T. International and we look forward to continuing to develop our relationship in the future.?
