With modern air conditioning giving rise to new industries and innovations, Carrier develops new products and technologies aiming to provide sustainable solutions for temperature-controlled environment across residential, commercial, retail, transport and food service segments
Giorgio Elia, vice-president of UTC Climate, Controls and Security for the Middle East, said that apart from keeping people cool and comfortable, Carrier products also focus on providing energy-efficient services for customers.
He claimed that since 2000 Carrier products have avoided more than 225mn metric tonnes of CO2 that is equivalent to removing more than 47mn passenger vehicles from the road for one year, thus advancing more towards providing an energy-efficient solution.
Carrier has recently introduced two new cooling solutions for the Middle East region including the new Xpower variable refrigerant flow (VRF) and AquaForce 30XV air-cooled screw chiller. According to Carrier, the VRF system aims to operate in the high-ambient temperatures, up to 54?C with a high-efficiency ratio during summers.
The AquaForce 30XV has been designed to operate in ambient temperatures of -29?C to 55?C, to provide services for schools, hotels, data centres, offices and residential buildings. Carrier said that the AquaForce chillers, with Greenspeed intelligence deliver efficiency, focuses on keeping costs down by providing significant energy savings.
These products also comply with the local mandatory regulations, said Elia.
Carrier further added that the company convenes the distinguished sustainability lecture series, aiming to drive technological advancements in developing high-efficiency air conditioning products. According to the company, the lecture series has reached more than 3,850 professionals across 15 countries.
The company has further plans to conduct events in Indonesia and India by the end of 2017.
Carrier showcased a wide range of products at the largest HVAC exhibition and conference in Saudi Arabia, in January 2017, and delivered presentations on the latest advancements in the industry.
