District cooling services provider Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) has announced that it has ?connected? 75 new buildings to its services this year

?This is an important milestone for us as district cooling is an environment-friendly technology and the way forward to achieving a green economy. We are pleased that developers have realised the importance of this technology and in the coming years, we will see more building owners and developers converting from conventional chilling methods to district cooling,? said Ahmad Bin Shafar, CEO of Empower.

This helps to deploy the resources effectively on the plants and networks in general and in specific plant networks at peak times during summer periods. It also assists to plan preventive maintenance schedule during winter months more effectively.

Empower currently operates more than 1.250mn refrigeration tonnes (RT), providing environmentally responsible district cooling services to large-scale real estate developments such as Jumeirah Group, Business Bay, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai International Financial Centre, Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Lake Towers, Ibn Battuta Mall, Discovery Gardens, Dubai Healthcare City, Dubai World Trade Centre Residences, Dubai Design District, among others.
