Trane has introduced the latest addition in the XStream? range of water-cooled screw chillers ? RTHF G
The new design, currently available in countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, is part of the Ingersoll Rand EcoWise? portfolio, which aims to lower environmental impact with low-global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants and high-efficiency operation.
The latest addition is line with Ingersoll Rand?s 2014 commitment to increase its energy efficiency and reduce the greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) related to its operations and products.
?RTHF G units address the needs of building owners who want to increase the sustainability of their operations while maintaining or improving capacity, efficiency and reliability with critical, large capacity cooling installations,? said Jose La Loggia, vice-president and general manager of Trane in Europe.
The new design provides customers with a cost-effective option for reducing greenhouse gas emissions because the units operate with R-1234ze, a near zero GWP refrigerant, thus delivering high seasonal efficiency, low installation footprint and stable part load control at all conditions, Loggia added.
The major differentiators of the new XStream RTHF G screw chillers include:
? The dual circuit configuration in a market segment which aims to reduce refrigerant content per circuit and further increase reliability.
? Serial counterflow design that is compatible with the use of variable primary flow used for the first time in a screw compressor chiller, thus allowing for a greater efficiency.
