The wholesale data centre service provider plans to build a number of new data centres, increasing its capacity five-fold in the next four years and boost the UAEs digital economy with 200MW and vital infrastructure to accelerate digitalisation nationally
Khazna, the UAE's leading supplier of wholesale data centre service, has announced multiple new data centres, which will provide vital infrastructure as the UAE accelerates digitalisation; providing 200MW to the digital economy and increasing the company's own capacity five-fold in the upcoming four years.
The company currently operates data centres in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai, with a combined capacity of 40MW. The new expansion will increase this to 200MW of IT load capacity by 2023. Capacity is set to be increased at Khazna's current sites as well as new sites set to be built in the coming years.
CEO of Khazna, Hassan Al Naqbi, explained, ?This significant expansion will support the economic ambitions of the UAE in the coming years. The UAE government and private sectors are pressing ahead with digital transformation, which has gathered pace in the last year through necessity. The experience of remote working and the growth of online services during the global pandemic has underlined the importance of robust, state-of-the-art digital infrastructure. Demand for flexible, scaleable and secure data storage is increasing rapidly, and this trend will continue as smart city and smart government projects gather momentum, cloud computing adoption grows and 5G networks are rolled out.?
The expansion plan will enhance Khazna's delivery of a cost-effective product range for data centre solutions and ensures client assurance that future digital and data expansion will be accomodated for.
