L&T wins orders valued at US$252mn in Kuwait

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) Construction, Power Transmission and Distribution business has won EPC orders worth US$252mn in Kuwait

The contracts are to build 22 132/11kV substations. With such substation networks, the large housing projects being developed by the Public Authority for Housing Welfare (PAHW) at South Al Mutala and South Abdullah Al-Mubarak will receive reliable power supply.

The India-based company also added that it has received orders for implementation of a high voltage distribution system in the semi-urban and rural areas of Kharagpur and Midnapur in the Indian state of West Bengal.

Additional orders have been received from ongoing transmission line projects in India and Egypt, according to a company press release.
