First Solar Energy Services is now the largest operations and maintenance provider in the world, the company has claimed
The company announced on 10 March 2016 it now has 5GW of assets in its solar power plant portfolio, which it claims "surpasses the next nearest O&M provider" by approximately 1.8GW.
First Solar inc. operates and maintains solar power plants for owners in 10 countries, and includes some of the largest PV power plants in operation throughout the world.
Stefan Degener, a senior director for First Solar Energy Services, said the company intends on growing its market share in mature markets such as Europe, as plant owners invest in professional services. "Our ability to optimise power plants virtually anywhere in the world is a critical strength, as emerging solar energy markets, such as the Middle East, start to add significant volumes of capacity," he said.
First Solar is a provider of comprehensive PV solar systems which use its advanced module and system technology.
