Trinasolar has signed a three-year memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ecohope Solar to distribute 600MW of its ultra-high-efficiency Vertex G3 modules across expanding markets in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.
The strategic agreement, officially internalised and signed at the prestigious SNEC PV Power Expo in Shanghai, establishes a long-term supply framework to accelerate renewable infrastructure development. Under the commercial terms of the MoU, global PV and energy storage solutions provider Ecohope Solar intends to purchase and supply both the Vertex N G3 and Vertex S+ G3 module series. The joint initiative will directly support an array of residential, commercial, and industrial solar installations, focusing heavily on Thailand as a principal regional hub alongside the broader Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) territory.
The technical architecture of the Vertex G3 portfolio represents a notable leap forward for regional clean energy infrastructure. Powered by n-type i-TOPCon Ultra technology, these modules deliver an exceptional power output reaching up to 760W, coupled with a maximum cell efficiency of 24.5%. Designed specifically for high-power commercial, industrial, and large-scale utility applications, the series features robust bifacial performance capabilities. Crucially, its low-voltage engineering layout allows for substantially higher electrical power per individual string, significantly reducing necessary balance-of-system (BOS) components and effectively lowering the overall 'levelised cost of electricity' for asset owners.
For smaller footprint configurations, the Vertex S+ G3 variant applies this exact technological core within a compact, dual-glass architectural design. This format is heavily optimised to maximise total power generation from strictly constrained rooftop areas on domestic and retail properties.
"Customers across our markets are under pressure to deliver stronger project returns from every installation," said Henry Yuan, founder and chief executive officer of Ecohope Solar. "The Vertex G3 portfolio gives us access to high-output, reliable module technology that supports better system design and long-term value."
Todd Li, president of Trinasolar Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, emphasised that Ecohope Solar’s established cross-border operational footprint makes it an ideal partner as industrial clients transition toward complex, integrated supply systems. "Through this MoU, we are expanding access to Trinasolar’s latest i-TOPCon Ultra module portfolio while laying the groundwork for potential cooperation across PV and storage solutions," Li stated.
The collaboration showcases Trinasolar’s global capacity to support international distribution partners operating within highly intricate regional ecosystems. By merging mass manufacturing scale with tailored local service execution, the partnership ensures commercial clients retain flexible access to premium green energy technology as evolving grid requirements and project demands continue to fluctuate.
