Engineering firm Savener stated that it has been awarded the design of the SWRO Barka V Desalination Plant in Oman

The EPC formed by the Spanish GS Inima and the Italian Fisia Italimpianti has been responsible for selecting Savener to carry out the design of practically all the engineering of the installation, thus signing a contract that will involve more than 50,000 hours of work.

The Barka V SWRO will have a capacity of 100,000 cu/m per day and will be located in Barka, north of Muscat.

According to Savener, it has five RO trains using spiral wound membranes, DAF pre-treatment system and gravity dual media filters and a post-treatment using UP-flow Limestone filter.

This alliance will allow the Savener team and specialists and the GS Inima and Fisia Italimpianti technicians to work in a coordinated manner in all disciplines associated with the project, such as civil engineering, electricity, piping, process, I&C, mechanics or 3D modelling, guaranteeing the usual levels of demand and quality of Savener projects.
