UBIFRANCE, the French Agency for export development, has planned to organise two pavilions at the 2014 edition of the World Future Energy Summit (WFES) and the International Water Summit (IWS), to be held from 20 to 22 January in Abu Dhabi
According to mid-east.info, these pavilions will feature corporates including Areva, Veolia Environnement, GDF Suez, Suez Environnement, along with some other French small and medium enterprises.
UBIFRANCE, along with the Embassy of France in the UAE, the French Agency for Environment and Energy Management (ADEME), France Solar Industry and the National Association for Renewable Energy plan to host conferences on topics including geothermal energy, sustainable cities and solar storage solutions at both the summits.
The annual WFES is an event dedicated to renewable energies, energy efficiency and clean technologies. The 2014 edition of this summit is expected to feature more than 200 speakers from around the world. It is being held alongside the IWS 2014, which is hosted by Masdar. This summit will address the water-energy nexus, scarcity, sustainable growth and economic development in arid regions, along with future challenges in water availability.
Both events will take place during the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week (ADSW), through which symposiums aimed at highlighting sustainable practices and the challenges in water, energy and waste management will take place.
