Dubai-based 3M Gulf launched VHB new high bonding tapes for cladding applications through a live demonstration at The Big 5 2013
The new product replaces the traditional bonding method which is usually weak.
Advance technology application engineer for 3M, Mohammed Jamal Yousef, demonstrated how the new bonding tapes work and said that it could be used for all bonding applications including metal, glass and aluminium.
The tapes can be used in many internal and external bonding applications and in many instances they can replace rivets, spot welds, liquid adhesives and other permanent fasteners.
"The event this year is more crowded than last year and we got an award this year for the green building and this award we got it from Big 5 event organisers for green and sustainable products for green buildings," Yousef said.
"We got this award from 300 companies participating in this and we?re having to get this award in this exhibition. And we?re working toward developing our products to be environmentally friendly."
