Ajman Holding appoints CSCEC as the official contractor of Mirkaaz

The UAE-based Ajman Holding has signed an agreement with China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) Middle East LLC to develop and construct shopping mall Mirkaaz in Ajman, which is expected to have more than 10mn visitors in year one

?We are confident that CSCEC will deliver the highest standards of quality for shopping and leisure to all the UAE residents and visitors,? said Yahya Al Jasmi, managing director of Ajman Holding.

Funtastic Engineering Consultancy (FEC), a design and project management consultant incorporated in Abu Dhabi, will be responsible for the construction management of the project.

Valued at US$136.13mn, Mirkaaz will be the first mall in the UAE to feature a Atrium Roof of more than 7,900 sq m. The mall is constructed using ETFE Technology aiming to provide natural UV light within the mall, allow natural growth for plants and sky views to all visitors. It aims to create a shopping experience on a new level, according to Ajman.

The construction of the mall is set to start in January 2018 and complete in the Q4 2019. It is expected to host a hypermarket, sprawling over 15,000 sq m, and encompass more than 100 stores for people to shop.

The construction of the is further expected to lead to more than 1100 blue-collared workers and 50 engineers on site, thus creating direct and indirect job opportunities, said Al Jasmi.

In the Middle East Region, CSCEC ME is one of the region?s largest construction groups with offices in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain and Qatar. The company provides services for the construction process ranging from planning, design and construction to operation and maintenance.
